BÖNI Marking Tools
The solution to the problem of marking parts during the machining operation.
The years of experience and the vast knowledge that we have gained in
the inscription of turned parts directly on CNC-lathes is built in every tool.
The tools are
sold world-wide
and are at considerable companies in use.
Often copied - never reached!
The problem and the solution
Item numbers, logos, company names, material grades, etc. may be required
for identification purposes (for traceability and product liability). Using
the Böni marking tool, components can be labeled on the periphery or
face, in a few seconds on CNC- lathes and machining centres.
The advantages for you
Manual or special purpose machine marking is complex, unreliable and work
intensive. With Böni marking tools, the workpiece leaves the lathe or
milling machine with a finished inscription. The inscription is identical
and consitent throughout a production run. That means you save
time and money. The desired individualized inscriptions can be made up at any
time
by
changing
individual letter, number, symbol segments, as well as startdots and dot segments
on center character height. That means more flexibility. Available type heights:
2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm. Standard marking wheels are engraved from solid and the
text stands proud from the base. Special wheels can be supplied for any texts,
logos, trademarks and type heights desired.
It is this simple
Marking a text on a revolving spindle; At the beginning of the text, start-dots
are needed. When marking with C-axis or spindle indexing of a CNC-lathe, no
start-dots are required. With the spindle running (4 - 8 m/min) the text length
with 3 - 6 start-dots is marked, in one pass, so it is impossible for the
text to be overwritten. As soon as the inscription is completed and the marking
tool has retracted, the marking wheel automatically returns to its original
starting position by means of a spring. The marking tool is then ready for
the next inscription. Due to the short rolling motion of the marking wheel,
workpieces of differing diameters requiring the same inscription can be marked
with the same wheel. Until now, a separate marking wheel was needed for each
workpiece diameter. Furthermore, it is possible to place multiple or different
texts on one marking wheel. By means of spindle indexing or the C-axis of
a CNC-lathe, programmed inscribing of the circumference can be performed.
Start dots are not necessary. On machining centers, the tool is advance to
marking depth with the spindle stopped, and then rolled along according to
the length of the text.
