Spindle Liner

Unguided bars in spindle bores produce imbalance and vibrations which cause degradation of the material surface, isometric inaccuracies and impaired part tension. So that no imbalance or vibrations develops, the spindle bore of the machine must be adapted to the used material diameter by means of a spindle liner. With the Böni spindle liner the spindle bore of the CNC-lathes can be flexibly adapted by means of replaceable reduction rings. Therefore no need for purchasing another spindle liner for each diameter.

After the spindle liner has been removed from the main tailstock, the clamp ring must be removed in order to exchange the reduction rings with a different diameter. The rings can be removed without resistance. Afterwards the spindle liner is again inserted into the main tailstock and fastened to it with screws. The machine is ready for a new diameter.

Reduction rings are inexpensive in acquisition or can be self manufactured. Because of the flexibility of the spindle liner an additional purchase of another spindel liner with a firm diameter is avoided.

On CNC-lathes with a bore of ø65mm, the bore can be flexibly adapted up to ø 55mm. For bigger diameters please get in contact with us.

We would welcome the opportunity of offering you a spindle liner adjusted to your CNC-lathe.
